Raises over $200,000
Approximately 2,000 Pro Life Supporters celebrated at Vanderburgh County Right to Life Spring
Banquet 2008. The April 8 event raised over $200,000 for education, services
and advocacy programs.
Highlighting the evening was keynote speaker, Cal Thomas, America’s number one political columnist. He told the crowd that it was up to them not to the government to fight against abortion. “This is our Holocaust, our abolitionist movement, our civil rights movement all rolled into one,” he said.
Musical entertainer, Larnelle Harris filled the Centre
with his majestic tenor voice. The Signature Singers from Evansville Signature
School sang along with Mr. Harris.
William S. Butterfield received the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Distinguished Hoosier Award. The awards were presented by Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman.
